What To Expect

Each year, more than one million visitors from across North America and around the world come to Calgary to experience the heart-stopping action of the world's roughest and richest afternoon rodeo, featuring bull riding, barrel racing, and much more. The GMC Rangeland Derby is the world's top chuckwagon race and a Calgary Stampede original, with 36 teams of horses and drivers competing.

It's all capped off with the nightly TransAlta Grandstand Show and a fireworks finale that lights up the sky for all 10 days. Beyond the Grandstand is one of Canada's largest music festivals, with five stages and 300 performers, including a slate of international music headliners.

Visitors of all ages will be entertained as they experience world-class agricultural events and adrenaline-pumping midway rides. Or step back in time at the Indian Village to share in authentic cultural activities.
