9 Day Newfoundland Explorer Tour
Day 1: Arrive Corner Brook
Travel to Corner Brook, Newfoundland & Labrador where you will overnight.
*If you are arriving late, you may wish to overnight in Deer Lake instead of Corner Brook and this may be requested on booking for no additional charge subject to availability.
Day 2: Corner Brook - Cow Head
Today, a transfer is included from Corner Brook to Cow Head, where you will meet our Tour Director or Driver/Guide and other traveling companions late this afternoon. This is primarily a transfer day with no sightseeing included.
Day 3: Gros Morne local touring
Discover why Gros Morne National Park is truly one of the highlights of our tour. Enjoy a scenic boat tour (weather permitting) as we learn the geology of the Tablelands, see the bald eagles that frequent the deep waters of the fjord, and hear the history of the small villages nestled on the shores. It is an unforgettable experience; some say the scenery is unequaled in eastern Canada.
Day 4: Cow Head - Gander
Have your camera at the ready as our time in Gros Morne National Park draws to a close. Later travel through central Newfoundland to Gander where we will spend 1 night. Before checking into your hotel, visit the North Atlantic Aviation Museum which hosts a variety of artifacts and displays chronicling Gander's role in the development of transatlantic aviation.
Day 5: Gander - Clarenville
A scenic drive along the rocky coast of Notre Dame Bay leads to the beautiful outport of Twillingate where you will visit Long Point Lighthouse and the Prime Berth Fishery & Heritage Centre. Keep your camera close at hand for wildlife as you drive through Terra Nova National Park and on to Clarenville, your home for the next two nights.
Day 6: Bonavista & Trinity Touring
Today you will experience two quaint, historic towns. First, visit Bonavista, where John Cabot first arrived in North America in 1497. Learn about the hard life of the lightkeepers at Cape Bonavista Lighthouse Provincial Historic Site before continuing on to charming Trinity. Stroll the lanes and explore the many historic buildings preserved from the 18th century.
Day 7: Clarenville - St. John's
We continue on to the intriguing old seaport of St. John's, our home for the next two nights. North America's oldest city and Newfoundland's capital boosts a stunning location in the granite cliffs and slopes of the Avalon Peninsula. Enjoy a city tour featuring the Victorian architecture of the downtown area, the busy modern waterfront, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the Confederation Building, and the panoramic view from Signal Hill.
Day 8: Local Touring
This morning, we travel to Bay Bulls for one of the highlights of our trip, a boat tour in the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve (weather permitting) to search for puffins and other seabirds. Next is a visit to the most easterly point in North America, Cape Spear National Historic Site. The afternoon is ours to explore St. John's at our leisure.

Your tour ends with a check-out from your hotel.
