6 Day Churchill Town & Tundra Enthusiast
Travel on selected dates between September - November
Day 1: Winnipeg
Arrive in Winnipeg and check into your hotel. The tour begins with the evening meet and greets with a Frontiers North Representative.
Day 2: Winnipeg - Churchill (Flight)
Today starts with an early morning flight to Churchill. Upon arrival enjoy a Churchill Town and Area Tour and a visit to the Churchill Eskimo Museum. In the evening be immersed in a cultural presentation by a local.
Day 3: Churchill Touring
Today enjoy your first full-day Tundra Buggy excursion in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area.
Known as the polar bear capital of the world, Churchill is also known as a beluga whale watching hotspot and one of the best places to see the northern lights. This remote Canadian town on the shores of Hudson Bay is 1,000 km north of Winnipeg, Manitoba's capital city. There are no roads that lead to Churchill, you can only get here by train or plane.
In addition to seeing polar bears, beluga whales and northern lights, Churchill has an impressive history and culture. Tour a fur trade fort, go on a dogsled adventure and admire the works of local artists and artisans.
Day 4: Churchill Touring
Hop onboard the Tundra Buggy for another exciting full-day excursion in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area.
Day 5: Churchill - Winnipeg (Flight)
Activities today include a dog sled program and a visit to the Parks Canada Interpretive Centre to learn about the historical significance of Churchill. Later in the evening fly back to Winnipeg.
Day 6: Winnipeg
You may depart Winnipeg at your leisure.
