Day 1: Calgary – Waterton (2½ hours)

Upon arrival in Calgary, you will pick up your midsized rental car and drive to Waterton Lakes National Park, on your way stop at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the buffalo jump was used for over 5,500 years by the indigenous people. Visit the interpretive center that was built into the ancient sandstone cliff in a naturalistic fashion.

Day 2: Waterton Sightseeing Tour

Today, drive yourself to the Bar U Ranch. Set in the rolling foothills of the Rockies, the Bar U Ranch is the only national historic site to commemorate the history and importance of ranching in Canada. The site has many historic buildings and structures, illustrating various stages of ranching development and is rich in cultural landscape features.

Day 3: Waterton Sightseeing Day

In the morning take a guided ride through beautiful flower-filled meadows, across winding streams, through shady pine forests, and crest a high lookout point with a panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains. After this drive yourself to the Remington Carriage Museum.

The museum provides visitors with an authentic experience with 19th and early 20th-century horse-drawn transportation. Using state-of-the-art techniques, the Remington Carriage Museum brings this bygone era to life. Day 4: Waterton – Calgary (2½ hours)

Today head back to Calgary and drop off your rental vehicle.
