Day 1

Vancouver - Victoria (60 miles)

Board the BC Ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay. Visit the famous Butchart Gardens, the 55-acre garden has been drawing you since it was started in a limetone quarry in 1904. Pass by the Gate of Harmonious at Chinatown. Explore the Inner Harbour by foot or carriage (optional) and visit Fairmont Empress, the BC Legislative BuildingsThunderbird ParkBeacon Hill Park and Mile "0".

Butchart Gardens These world-famous floral gardens are located on a 55-acre estate on Vancouver Island's southeastern point in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. People from around the world have been coming to see the gardens for more than 100 years.

Chinatown Victoria The oldest Chinatown in Canada is located on the Pacific coast of British Columbia in the city of Victoria. This artistic and cultural center has features such as its famous Chinese Gate, which is guarded by lion statues. 

Victoria Harbour This seaport in the city of Victoria is the local cruise ship and tourist entry and exit point for the city, covering 620 acres of water. It separates downtown from the Victoria West neighborhood. 

BC Parliament Buildings The British Columbia Parliament Buildings are where the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia meet. They are located in Victoria, British Columbia, at the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Visitors can marvel at the Baroque architecture and sprawling lawns. 

Thunderbird Park This historic and cultural park in the heart of Victoria is decorated with an assortment of authentic totem poles carved by several different First Nations peoples. The park is also home to historic buildings from the mid-1800s.

Beacon Hill Park Beacon Hill Park, located in Victoria, British Columbia, contains hiking trails, a waterpark, two playgrounds, a petting zoo, and botanical gardens, among many other attractions. Loved by locals and tourists alike, the 200-acre park has something for everyone.

Mile Zero An area of southwestern Beacon Hill Park at Douglas Street in Victoria, British Columbia is the beginning of Canada's Number 1 Highway, which stretches the entire length of the country. A monument marks "mile zero" to visitors.

Day 2

Victoria - Duncan - Chemainus - Vancouver (110 miles)

Visit the Hatley Castle and the Goldstream Provincial Park to discover heritage and nature wonders. Head to Chemainus after visit the Totem city - Duncan. The murals on the streets illustrate the development of Chemainus. Arrive at Nanaimo by late afternoon and take the BC Ferry to Horseshoe bay. At the end of the day we will return to the departure points in Vancouver for dropoff.

  • During the Butchart Gardens Summer Fireworks days during the summer, dropoff time will be delayed 2 hours. The affected dates are Saturdays from Jul 2 - Sep 3 (Jul 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; Aug 6, 13, 20, 27; Sep 3).

  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (Chinese/Cantonese/ English). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.

  Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking, please do not book the airline tickets until your received the confirmation.

  Redemption

  • You will receive a confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order is received. Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.

Cancellations and Cancellation Fees 
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us.

Cancellation penalties per person as follows:

(Notification day and departure day are not counted)

  • 14 - 20 days or more before departure - 50% of total purchase amount
  • 0 - 14 days before of departure - 100% of total purchase amount
  • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
  • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

Tour Cancellation
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
