Day 1

Vancouver Island - Butchart Garden - Chinatown - Inner Harbour - Mount Tolmie Park (96 km)

In the morning, we will take the ferry to Victoria to visit the famous Butchart Gardens. Then, we will pass by Chinatown, where we will see the Inner Harbour, the Parliament Buildings of British Columbia, Mile Zero, Tolmie Hill Park, and the University of Victoria.

Butchart Gardens These world-famous floral gardens are located on a 55-acre estate on Vancouver Island's southeastern point in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. People from around the world have been coming to see the gardens for more than 100 years.

Chinatown Victoria (Passing By) The oldest Chinatown in Canada is located on the Pacific coast of British Columbia in the city of Victoria. This artistic and cultural center has features such as its famous Chinese Gate, which is guarded by lion statues.

Victoria Harbour This seaport in the city of Victoria is the local cruise ship and tourist entry and exit point for the city, covering 620 acres of water. It separates downtown from the Victoria West neighborhood.

BC Parliament Buildings The British Columbia Parliament Buildings are where the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia meet. They are located in Victoria, British Columbia, at the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Visitors can marvel at the Baroque architecture and sprawling lawns.

Tolmie Hill Park Located near the University of Victoria, Mount Tolmie is easily accessible and has a 360-degree view of Victoria from the top.

Beacon Hill Park Beacon Hill Park, located in Victoria, British Columbia, contains hiking trails, a waterpark, two playgrounds, a petting zoo, and botanical gardens, among many other attractions. Loved by locals and tourists alike, the 200-acre park has something for everyone.

University of Victoria The University of Victoria is a public research university located in Saanich and Oak Bay within Greater Victoria, British Columbia. The university was founded as Victoria College in 1903.

Mile Zero An area of southwestern Beacon Hill Park at Douglas Street in Victoria, British Columbia is the beginning of Canada's Number 1 Highway, which stretches the entire length of the country. A monument marks "mile zero" to visitors.

Victoria - Harley Castel - Gold Stream - Duncan - Chemainus - Nanaimo - Vancouver (154 km)

Today, we will visit Harley Castel, Golden Stream, Duncan, and Chemainus. Then, we will head to Nanaimo for a short break before continuing to Vancouver.

Hatley Castle This mansion and estate in Victoria is part of a Canadian National Historic Site. Since 1995, it has been used as a part of the Royal Roads University.

Goldstream Provincial Park Known for its wildlife - like the annual salmon run and the large population of bald eagles that feed on said salmon - this park in British Columbia measures 937 acres.

Duncan, BC Dubbed the "City of Totems," Duncan has more than 80 First Nations carvings located throughout town, and is also home to the Quw'utsun' Cultural Centre.

Chemainus, BC Chemainus is a charming Cowichan Valley town located in the Vancouver Island region. Chemainus is noted for its creative community, but its artistic flair is most evident in the 40 plus vivid murals scattered around town that depict its culture and history.

From December 1st to January 1st, departure time will be 2 hour later than regular ones to visit the Christmas Lights in Butchart Gardens.

Confirmation

  • Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 72 hours of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Please do not book any airline tickets until you receive the status of your booking.

Redemption

  • You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order is received. Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your confirmation email. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.

Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us.

Cancellation penalties per person as follows:(Notification day and departure day are not counted)

  • 21-35 days or more before departure - 30% of total purchase amount
  • 14 - 20 days before departure - 50% of total purchase amount
  • 0 - 14 days before of departure - 100% of total purchase amount
  • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
  • There is 10% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.

We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
