What You Can Expect
Enjoy an arctic experience ice fishing on one of the largest lakes in Canada. Join your guide on an ice fishing adventure on Great Slave Lake, set in the most spectacular winter landscapes of Yellowknife. Your tour starts with hotel pickup from your Yellowknife hotel. Afterwards, drive on the ice road to one of Yellowknife's secluded ice fishing locations. A safety briefing and demonstration of proper use of equipment follows. Sit back if you wish and watch your reel as you are on your journey to capture one hungry fish. Choose between two tour options. Experience ice fishing at its best in a comfortable heated ice-fishing shack. After your ice fishing experience, enjoy light fish lunch made from local fish from Great Slave lake. Alternatively, experience ice fishing casting your fishing line from an at 8" drilled hole on the frozen Great Slave Lake. A light fish lunch provided afterwards. Reel in your catch from The Great Slave Lake, the second-largest lake in the Northwest Territories of Canada. At 614 meters, it is also the deepest lake in North America and home for many monster fish, including Arctic Grayling, Inconnu, Trout, Pickerel and White Fish. During the ice fishing tour, your guide will treat you to some of mouth watering local fish recipes
