Choose the departure time that suits your schedule, then make your way to Sooke, British Colombia, where you’ll meet a fishing guide at one of two ocean-side launch points (exact location will be determined after booking). Start with a short briefing on safety and gear, then head out to the salmon fishing grounds, a 15-minute boat ride. Watch for seals, bald eagles, and other wildlife along the way, with scenic views along the Vancouver Island coast. Upon arrival at the fishing grounds, experienced anglers can cast their lines, while novice fishers can get step-by-step coaching from the guide. Exclusions
A British Columbia saltwater fishing license must be obtained for each person that will be fishing on board the boats. These can be purchased online via credit card. A printer is required as a paper copy of the license itself is mandatory. A salmon stamp must also be purchased while filling out the license, and is also required to retain any salmon caught during the trip.
