6 Day North Seal River Eco-Adventure
Travel on Selected dates between July - August
Day 1: Arrive in Winnipeg
Arrive in Winnipeg and overnight at the Four Points Sheraton where you will be greeted by a Ganglers expediter who will take heavier bags to their charter.
Day 2: Winnipeg to North Seal River
Start your day with an early transfer to the North Seal River Lodge where a breakfast brunch will be waiting for you upon arrival. Next experience a mix of orientation on the history and experience of the region. Later participate in a 2 ½ hour esker tour on our Polaris Rangers, includes a discussion of the area, view different habitats including an actual trappers cabin, special side tour of the glacial erratics, potential bear viewing.
After dinner kayaking, canoeing, wildlife viewing, and mountain biking are available in the evening. Casting instruction for those not familiar with fishing is also available.
Day 3: North Seal River
After having coffee delivered to your cabin head to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Then it’s off the docks for an incredible day of fishing highlighted by a classic Canadian shore lunch! Following dinner enjoy a number of activities including wolf viewing and perhaps Northern Lights if the weather and darkness are permitting.
Day 4: North Seal River
Enjoy a cup of fresh coffee as it is brought to your cabin before heading to the lodge for breakfast where you will discuss the day's activities. Included today is a floatplane trip over the Robertson Esker, a Blackfish Lake tour of the ancient portage trail, a walk of the Robertson esker, and an artifact search. Take a well-deserved break and indulge in a fresh Canadian Shore lunch before making your way to the Trapper's cabin for exploration, bear, and wildlife viewing.
Day 5: North Seal River
'Options Day: On this day, your hosts will work with you to craft a personalized schedule to your desires.
The different activities available include:
River float trip (extra cost). May or may not include overnight camping
Exploration tour of Egenolf Lake including bear viewing and wildlife tour
An extra day or half-day fishing with shore lunch
Special walking esker tour with Dr. Brian Kotak on botany and ecosystems
Birding exploration
One day flyout fishing (extra cost) to a private remote lake
One day flyout to Courage Lake and Barrenlands exploration (extra cost)
Special boat/walk-in tour to pristine Lunney Lake (crystal clear water, beautiful beach, lots of animal trails)
Fly-fishing instruction and fly-fishing for grayling
Day 6: North Seal River to Winnipeg
Today say goodbye to the North Seal River Lodge and return to Winnipeg.
