Fanshawe Pioneer Village

Fanshawe Pioneer Village

Fanshawe Pioneer Village is an open-air museum established in 1959 and located in the Fanshawe Conservation Area in London, Ontario. Fanshawe Pioneer Village is an early example of the museum type known as a “Pioneer Village,”  Fanshawe Pioneer Village is giving the story of rural communities in the former townships of Westminster, London, North Dorchester, Delaware, West Nissouri and Lobo in Middlesex County from 1820 to 1920 and the founding and development of the City of London up to 1840. Fanshawe Pioneer Village is owned and operated by the not-for-profit charity known as the London and Middlesex Heritage Museum.

The London Children’s Museum give a fantastic opportunities children and their grown-ups can experience extraordinary hands-on learning in a distinctly child-centred environment. It is so children-friendly area. Part of the London community for more than 35 years, the Children’s Museum is where approximately 80,000 children and their families visit each year to dream and play, and gather and helpful to develope and grow their spirits through learning. Exhibits and stimulating learning experiences allow them to explore history and heritage, investigate the complexities of science and social relationships adn their culture. The Children’s Museum helps children indulge and provoke their curiosity.

Eldon House is a museum featuring 19th century period mansion and gardens. Eldon House is an historic site in downtown London that has been preserved and maintained since 1960. It was home to four generations of the Harris family, and is an excellent example of Georgian and Regency architectural styles. Its gardens for local and visitors are considered among the most fantastic gardens in the city.

The Royal Canadian Regiment Museum is a military museum located at Wolseley Barracks in London, Ontario, Canada. It is the perfect area for fostering a deeper understanding of the military experience in general through feeling and touching, experiencing. The museum offers programming that promotes and enhances the pride that Canadians have in their military and its achievements.
