Experience the amazing Bay of Fundy Eco-systems with a kayak tour from a private beach on the Bay of Fundy. Due to its unique geology, the Bay has been chosen as part of the Stonehammer UNESCO Global Geopark. On this tour you will be in protected waters where you will experience the highest tides in the world, see fishing weirs, sea caves, the largest lobster compound on the Bay of Fundy, and more!,
This tour is just a short forty five minute drive from Saint John. On the way, you will see the center of the City, Market Square, and beautiful Victorian and Georgian style homes and historic buildings. You will see the Reversing Falls, the Moose Head Brewery, and the Nature Park. As you drive along the Coastal route you also pass the fresh water supply for Saint John, and the largest Salt Water Marsh on the Eastern Seaboard. Once you arrive to the Bay of Fundy, the equipment is all set to go. There is a change room facility and washrooms there for you to change into appropriate apparel. The guides will provide a 15 minute introduction, and then it is off into the water. During your tour you will experience waterfalls, a salt water marsh, and gaze along a beautifully rugged coast line. Your guide will take to you see the largest lobster pound on the Bay of Fundy, show you fishing weirs, and point out the amazing sea life that calls the Bay home such as sea birds, bald eagles, seals, porpoises and more. The harbor offers well protected waters from high winds so it will be easy paddling. In the rare case the waters are deemed too choppy, a guided eco hike will replace the kayaking tour. Upon return from the half day adventure, you will return to the private beach to have a chance to debrief with your guide, change your clothing and foot wear, take a group picture, and then relaxing at the beach house for a Bay of Fundy lobster roll and refreshments.
